I WAS GOING TO THINK THE BOARD AS WELL. WE HAD A ROCK 'N' ROLL LAST FIVE WEEKS IN GETTING THROUGH THE EVALUATION PROCESS. THIS PROCESS BEGAN A YEAR AGO AND WITH SOME OF THE BOARD MEMBERS HERE AND WE HAVE SOME NEW MEMBERS JOIN US IN OCTOBER OF THIS YEAR. THEY HAVE ALL DONE THEIR VERY BEST TO JUMP IN AND DO THE WORK. IT IS BECAUSE OF THEM THAT WE ARE READY TO TALK TO YOU THIS EVENING. I WANT TO THANK THE BOARD MEMBERS AND ALTERNATES. LIKEWISE I WANT TO THANK THE CITY STAFF. TOTAL PROJECT COST FOR ALL OF THOSE IS A LITTLE UNDER $250 MILLION. WE REQUESTED A MAP WITH THE CITY STAFF AND THE PUBLIC AND 43 OF THOSE PROJECTS CAME FROM CITY STAFF IN THE PROCESS ONE GOT REMOVED BY THE SENIOR FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER. WE HAVE 35 PUBLIC INPUT REQUESTS AND OUT OF THAT FIVE THAT QUALIFIED. BREAKING THOSE PROJECTS DOWN THE MAJORITY WERE IN THE PAVEMENT AND DRAINAGE AREA 31 PROJECTS THERE. SEVEN IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. $108 MILLION IS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PARKS AND. 14 PROJECTS BEING PUBLIC INPUT WITH JUST UNDER 24 MILLION REQUESTED. TO PUBLIC SAFETY PROJECTS. HERE IS A LIST OF THE PROJECTS AND I WANTED TO NOTE HERE THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE A QUESTION ALREADY ALL PROJECTS COST VERSES REQUESTED AMOUNT AND THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE CITY STAFF ESTIMATING THE COST KEEPING AT $52.1 MILLION. THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR IT, THEY ARE ASKING FOR 2 MILLION AND LIKEWISE ANOTHER GOOD EXAMPLE WOULD BE THE TOTAL BUSINESS PARK ITEM THAT SHARES [00:10:01] A TOTAL COST IN THE REQUEST OF 2157. THIS ONE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN MILLER ROAD. HERE, 2157 IS THE ENGINEERING COST OF BOTH PHASES OF THE TOTAL BUSINESS PARK PROJECT. THE CONSTRUCTION IS CURRENTLY IN PHASE ONE WHERE THE TOTAL COST INCLUDES ALL CONSTRUCTION COST. WANT TO MAKE THAT CLEAR. IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY ATTENTION WHEN WE HAVE THE RECOMMENDATIONS IN ANY FUTURE LIABILITIES THAT OCCUR AND THAT IS WHY THAT DISTINCTION IS MADE. THE OTHER THING TO PAY ATTENTION TO HERE IS THE PROJECT NUMBER DOES REFLECT THE PRIORITY SUBMITTED BY CITY AND STAFF. LINCOLN HEIGHTS WAS A PRIORITY ONE PROJECTS SUBMITTED BY PUBLIC WORKS AND NUMBER 2 AND SO ON ON THE LIST. WE TOOK THAT 35 AND LOOKED AT MOST IMPORTANTLY IS IT ALREADY ON A BOND OR WAS IT ON A BOND BEFORE AND NOT A COMPLETED PROJECT? WAS IT APPLICABLE AND HOW MANY REQUESTS WE GOT. FOR INSTANCE A GOOD EXAMPLE IS SIDEWALKS. WE HAD FOUR DIFFERENT INQUIRIES ABOUT ADDING SIDEWALKS TO THE CIA BE REQUEST DOCKET. THESE WERE THE PUBLIC ELIGIBLE PROJECTS AND THESE ARE THE PROJECTS THAT THE BOARD SCORED PUBLIC BOAT RAMP, SIDEWALK PROJECT THE REBUILD OF SUZANNE DRIVE AND THE REBUILD OF GARNER ROAD. THERE WERE A COUPLE ADDITIONAL ALLEYS THAT WERE NOT ON THE PUBLIC WORKS INITIAL LIST SO WE CALLED THOSE OUT SPECIFICALLY. IF WE GO TO THE NEXT SLIDE HERE IS THE OTHER TYPES OF PROJECTS. PROJECTS THAT WERE ALREADY ON THE BOND CYCLE THE ANIMAL SHELTER WHICH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT NOW AS PART OF THE FACILITY STUDY, SCENIC POINT PARK AND TO ADD ADDITIONAL FEATURES IN 2021. WE GOT A COUPLE OF MAINTENANCE REQUESTS AND THOSE WERE FORWARDED TO THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT TO TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO WITH THOSE AND THEN WE HAD SOME THAT REALLY WORK ELIGIBLE AND WE WEREN'T ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REQUESTS, PROGRAM REQUESTS AND STREET REQUESTS. WE TALKED ABOUT LIGHTS ON HIGHWAY 66 WHICH WAS SPECIFICALLY TEXAS DOT HIGHWAY AND THAT WOULD BE A TEXAS DOT PROJECT. SEPARATELY AND INDEPENDENTLY JEFF WHITNEY AND I CAME UP WITH THE IDEA THAT WE NEEDED TO BREAK THIS UP AND ASSIGN THE INITIAL READINGS OUT AND BRING THEM BACK TO THE FULL BOARD TO ASSESS. WE DID THAT AND THEN WE FORMED THREE SUBGROUPS AND THIS IS ON NOVEMBER 2. THE PARKS AND GROUP HAVE THOSE NUMBERS. SO, ULTIMATELY THE BOARD DECIDED TO RECOMMEND THIS SET OF PROJECTS AND JUST A NOTE ABOUT THAT SLIDE I THINK THAT [00:30:12] ANGIE SENT OUT SOME NOTES. WE HAVE THE PROJECTS INCLUDED PIN LABELED WITH A WHY IN THE COLUMN AND RECOMMENDED AMOUNT IS THE AMOUNT THAT IS IN THE CIAB COLUMN. THEY HAVE FOUR AREAS THAT WERE IDENTIFIED AS CRITICAL BY A CONSULTANT THAT HAD BEEN HIRED TO SCORE HIGH IN THE COMPLIANCE AREA BECAUSE THERE WAS A POTENTIAL OF THE CITY BEING RESPONSIBLE AND THERE WERE POTENTIAL PROBLEMS THERE. WE THOUGHT THE THERE WOULD BE SUPPORT BUT WE KNOW THAT'S IMPORTANT TO TAKE CARE OF THAT. CONSTRUCTION. THIS IS A MULTIPHASE PROJECT THIS IS PHASE ONE AND THERE IS A FOUR PHASE PROJECT AND THERE'S A LOT OF ENGINEERING MONEY IN THIS INITIAL PASS. $4 MILLION AND BY EXECUTING IT IT LET US BY SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE NEEDED AS FAR AS THE CONCRETE REPLACEMENT AND CONSTRUCTION.
