BACK ON AUGUST 16TH OF LAST YEAR ORDINANCE NUMBER 27027 - 22 WAS APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. THAT IMPOSED A REQUIREMENT FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR NEW BUSINESSES SELLING ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES, AND CBD RELATED PRO PRODUCTS TH IDEA IS PER THE ORDINANCE AS STATED IS TO ENSURE ANY ADDITIONAL BUSINESSES WHICH WOULD BE SELLING THOSE PRODUCTS.

THAT ARE REVIEWED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND THE CITY COUNCIL THROUGH THE SEP PROCESS SO THEY ARE SITUATED IN LOCATIONS BEST SUITED FOR SCH BUSINESSES.

AND ALLOWING FOR REASONABLE CONDITIONS TO BE IMPOSED TO MINIMIZE ANY ADVERSE EFFECTS IS BUSINESSES MIGHT HAVE. ALSO NOTE THIS IS THE FIRST REQUEST FOR AN SEP SINCE THIS ORDINANCE WAS ADOPTED. THE PRODUCTS THAT WOULD BE OFFERED FOR SALE WOULD INCLUDE HEMP DERIVED CANNABIS SUCH AS OILS, CAPSULES, TROPICALS, PRINCIPLES AND CBD ITEMS FOR PETS. WOULD ALSO NOTE WALL SIGNAGE.

THAT IS THE SIGNAGE THAT IS ATTACHED TO A BUILDING IS LIMITED TO 60 FT. PER SECTION 77512 OF THE DEVELOPMENT CODE.

AND WINDOW SIGNAGE IS LIMITED 40 PERCENT OF THE WINDOW AREA.

WE ARE LOOKING AT THE RED BUILDING BUT THERE ARE SITE FEATURES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE ENTIRETY OF PHASE ONE THAT I WILL ADDRESS AS PART OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD PROTECTION STANDARDS. THE EXISTING SITE IS LARGELY UNDEVELOPED. ALTHOUGH DOES HAVE A SINGLE-FAMILY HOME LOCATED NEAR THAT CORNER.
