I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY THEY WERE LOOKING TO PROVIDE MORE AFFORDABLE HOMES WELL ABOVE WHAT I FEEL LIKE MOST PEOPLE COULD AFFORD. I ALSO WANT TO POINT OUT BACK IN AUGUST, 338 HOMES IN ROWLETT FOR SALE, IN SEPTEMBER, THAT WENT UP BY 4% . ABOUT THE SITE, IT IS HEAVILY WOODED . THEY ALSO MENTIONED THE TREES ON THE SITE WERE BURDEN TO THE PROPERTY, WHICH I FEEL IS LUDICROUS, IT IS NOT A BURDEN TO THE PROPERTY OWNER, IT IS A BURDEN TO THE DEVELOPER THE TREES ARE AN ASSET TO THE CITY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITY AND ADJACENT PROPERTIES. THE TOTAL INVESTMENT IS $40 MILLION PIE PREVAIL ROWLETT, LLC AND OPERATIONAL BY 2027. THE AGREEMENT INCLUDES IMPACT FEE WAIVERS NOT TO EXCEED 500,000. THERE IS ALSO PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT AND HOTEL OCCUPANCY FUND ABATEMENT, PROPERTY TAX ABATEMET FOR $40 MILLION CAPITAL INVESTMENT THROUGH CITY POLICY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTS APPLICATION GIVES US DISCUSSION TO PERMIT ONE TO EIGHT YEARS UP TO 100% OF TOTAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT.
